El MOTOTRBO R2 es un portátil híbrido (analógico y digital) orientado a entornos laborales exigentes que requieren durabilidad y buena calidad de voz; soporta hasta 64 canales y opera en VHF o UHF con potencias máximas típicas de 5 W (VHF) y 4 W (UHF). Está diseñado con carcasa robusta que cumple MIL-STD y tiene clasificación IP55, incorpora cancelación de ruido SINC+ y perfiles de audio seleccionables para adaptar la reproducción a distintos ambientes, y ofrece una autonomía notable (por ejemplo, ~19.5–26.5 horas en modo digital según batería y perfil de uso). Funciones como Dual Capacity Direct Mode, escaneo de prioridad y botones programables facilitan su uso operativo en flotas, obras, industrias y seguridad.
